One of my favorite things about being a wedding designer in France is that I get the chance to create different editorial projects alongside the crème de la crème of French wedding professionals. So when floral designer Laetitia of Florésie asked me to design and style for her floral school Au Jardin de Florésie with Oliver Fly Photography behind the lens, my answer was an enthusiastic, bien sûr!

The shoot took place late autumn near Reims, in the Champagne region of France. The inspiration was focused on an ombré floral design with neutral orange and blush hues. The intention was to show an “Autumn Champagne apéro in the country”. We chose a color palette of ivory, yellow, peach, deep orange and camel with warm touches of gold. All of the centerpieces were created by the students in the class. Since the flowers were the focus, I chose to design the actual table in a monochromatic fashion.

In addition to the large florals, we focused on small floral accents and other elements such as the table design, stationery pieces and vintage tabletop décor.

The students helped to construct the floral arch installation in another area of the property. There was also an apple orchard on site that was seasonally perfect! We even included a recipe for an apple champagne cocktail!
