Liz & Spencer’s elegant château wedding in Burgundy was too beautiful for words! The Florida based couple chose Château de Varennes to host their intimate destination wedding in France. Carefully curated welcome boxes filled with signature cookies, truffle popcorn and Crémant de Bourgogne (a sparkling wine from Burgundy) sat in each guest’s room as they arrived at the château. Fine art paper goods, filled with custom designed details including an illustration of the château and a custom logo were featured in their invitation suite as well as handmade guest itineraries, menus and place cards. Every detail was so well thought out in advance that all anyone had to do was relax and enjoy the weekend fêtes!

One of the most touching moments of the day was when the father of the bride saw his daughter in her wedding dress. His jaw was on the floor like I’ve never seen!!!

The outdoor ceremony took place in a hidden nook facing the château and was designed to look like a secret garden. Florésie created a floral arch and aisle way too beautiful to describe in words! The serene atmosphere truly made for a reflective and special experience.

Cocktails and nibbles were enjoyed under the Burgundy sun and featured champagne, canapés and a live jazz band. The newlyweds zoomed around the grounds in a 1960 MGA Roadster before joining their guests for dinner. Since the groom is a NYC restaurant owner, food was an integral part of the the entire wedding weekend. Guests dined on seared foie gras with pear, hazelnut & elderflower gelée followed by a filet of beef, crispy potato cake & confit of tomato with Bourguignon sauce and finished with lemon cake with mascarpone & vanilla chantilly and a signature wedding cake.

Neutral colored florals adorned the table, which featured gold-rimmed crystal, rose gold flatware, handmade French ceramic plates and linens in French blue. As day turned to night, string lights decorated adorned with soft foliage illuminated the scene from above. The band kept everyone dancing into the night until they finally met their match with the fireworks show!

The evening wrapped up on the dance floor with a late night DJ and savory late-night snacks. The perfect ending to the most elegant château wedding in Burgundy! What sparks your elegant wedding fancy?!
